Author Bio:
Sharon Daven is a neurodivergent specialist who has five years of experience in helping parents simplify the parenting journey of their neuro-diverse children.

Her expertise stems from the practical work of parenting her fifteen-year-old autistic son and her five-year-old ADHD grandson.

She has also dedicated fifteen years (since her autistic child was born) to neuro-diversity research to gather information to support her child. Later, she started contributing her knowledge to a local autism community where she belonged as a member by advising new parents of autistic children on topics like social skill training, meltdown management, therapies etc.

In late 2017, she decided to transition to a neuro-divergent specialist career as she has a burning passion to see the neurodivergent child become fully functional and included in the society.

“Autism Positive Parenting” is her first book and the goal of this book is to hold the hands of parents of children with autism through their parenting journey. She has helped no fewer than one hundred and fifty parents of Autism children to tackle the difficulty their children have with communication, interaction and other repetitive behaviours that affect their ability to function in school and other areas of life.

As an experienced mother of an autistic child, she has a deep understanding of the unique perspectives and challenges faced by parents of neurodiverse individuals. Hence, she created the book that she wished was on the shelf the year she had her autistic son, Peter.

Through her writing, she offers valuable insights, into how new and old parents can champion the parenting of their neuro-diverse children as she believes that the parenting of these children lays the foundation for their social functionality and exclusivity in society.
